This year Grant REALLY got his birthday (and party) and he was excited to have his own day devoted to him! We hosted a couple of friends at the park for Breakfast and Bubbles (because what else can you do in Texas in August?). We followed up the kids party with a family dinner at the house that evening...and the big unveil: Thomas the Train set (from both sets of grandparents)
I looked back at other birthday blogs - and I am starting to sound like a broken record...but 3 is REALLY the best! Grant is so sweet, funny, determined - and opinionated and independent.
Grant loves talking (he is a genius), presents, adventures, surprises, baseball, soccer, trains, books, running (he does not walk anywhere), cowboys (not the football team), family, the iPad, TV, helping, fruit snacks, sweets (BIG sweet tooth), telling jokes (why didn't the elephant get on the train? WHY? He was afraid of a mouse!), juice, the Zoo, airplanes, matching cars (that is MiMi's car, that is a mercedes, that is like UM's big car, ect.), movies
Not so much: baths, washing his hair, going to bed, changing shoes, eating, napping, new people (he is a little bit of a shy guy)
I hope Grant realizes he is one lucky kiddo - he has many many people that love him very much, he has great talents that will serve him well in life, he is smart, and he has been given lots of opportunities to do and see great things. I just love him.
Weight: 26 pounds (skinny)
60% in height

That last pic needs to be blown up and framed. So cute!
